The wood sculpture symposiums KOLDING Art Jam & HØJER Art Jam

Two wood sculpture symposium will take place from 12 to 21 June 2020 in Hojer/Kolding, Denmark.
For 2020 organization only accept application forms from artists who can participate at both Art Jam in Kolding and in Højer.

The wood sculpture symposium KOLDING Art Jam will be open from Saturday 6th June 2019 at 12.00 o'clock until Friday 12th June 2020 at 14.00 o'clock.

The wood sculpture symposium HØJER Art Jam will be open from Sunday 14th June 2019 at 12.00 o'clock until Sunday 21st June 2020 at 14.00 o'clock.

Art Jam HØJER: Each sculptor will be provided with an oak trunk of approximately 180 cm x 60 cm Ø. Out of this oak trunk the sculptor can make 1 or 2 sculptures. The sculptures are to be carried out by one artist only. Each sculpture will be regarded as single.
Art Jam KOLDING: Each sculptor will be provided with an oak trunk of approximately 180 cm x 60 cm Ø. Out of this oak trunk the sculptor can make 1 or 2 sculptures. The sculptures are to be carried out by one artist only. Each sculpture will be regarded as single.

Artists will be selected all over the world. The selection will be based on the proposal for the sculptures.
The sculptures created at 'Hojer Art Jam' and ‘Kolding Art Jam’ belong to the organization.
HØJER: Each participating artist will be paid an amount of DKK 500,- upon arrival and € 550,- by departure time.
KOLDING: Each participating artist will be paid an amount of DKK 500,- upon arrival and € 550,- by departure time.
Furthermore each participating artist will receive travelling help: € 100,- for artists from Europe and € 200 for artists from outside of Europe. Note! Travelling help will only be paid once per participating artist.
The artists are obliged to be available for photographing at the sculptures and during events without payment. All the sculptures can be given away or sold.

Free board and lodging for the participating artists will be provided by the organizers.
Extra people who accompany the artist will have to pay for the accommodation:
Adults: Price for room and board, DKK 2,500, -.
Children: Price for room and board, DKK 1.500, -.

The working time will be from 08.00 h - 18.00 h. The use of power tools will be permitted between 09.00 h - 12.00 h and 13.00 h - 17.00 h. The sculptures must be realized from the allocated piece of oak wood. It is allowed to use other materials, brought to the site of the sculptor him/herself.

• Application form with a recent passport photograph
• A short biography
• A sketch from 3 sides in A4 size (210 x 297 mm) or photos of the proposed sculptur(es) as the selection will exclusively be made out from the proposal(s).
• A short description of the sculptures.

Applications without illustrations will not be accepted. Only send the proposal(s) you want to make.
