Scottish Sculpture Workshop x Counterflows Caregivers Residency

Apply for four weeks of funded residency, shaped to support artists with caregiving responsibilities.

Caring for family (bio or chosen), community and/or kin, either professionally or informally can form and create artistic practices as well as disrupt them. We recognise how difficult it is for artists with caring responsibilities to grasp time, energy, resources and focus for their practices.

This residency offers artists funding, flexibility, respite and space for self-care, to focus on their own needs and support their continued learning and development. To support participation in the residency, two selected artists will receive a fee plus travel, material and access budgets.

Eligibility: Artists with caregiving responsibilities who live in Scotland and have experience of making experimental sound or performance based work.

What you get: 4 week's flexible residency at SSW including access to studio, workshops and technical support. Accommodation for artist and if applicable those they care for/ respite carers. £1500 fee, £300 travel, £300 materials, £1000 access budgets. Ongoing support and advocacy from SSW and Counterflows.
