Curator-in-Residence in Salzburg 2018/2019

The Salzburg Kunstverein is continuing its new programme "Curator in Residence". In cooperation with the Artist in Residence Programme of the City of Salzburg, this programme offers curators a studio apartment in the historic KĆ¼nstlerhaus in the heart of Salzburg for one month. The period of residency in Salzburg is from 3 December 2018 to 7 January 2019.
The aim of this residency programme is to promote curatorial research and discourse in Salzburg. Curators in Residence can pursue their own projects during their stay, pursue their research or use the time as a writing stay. Opportunities for networking with local cultural workers, including studio visits and meetings with experts, are offered. A condition for the residency is the organization of a public lecture or a workshop that gives an insight into the work of the curator. A scholarship is provided in addition to the fully furnished apartment.
All applications will be judged by a jury on the quality of the submitted project and the suitability of the candidates. All applications must be received by 9 June 2018. Only the successful applicant will be notified.

- One page project description with contact information
- Two-sided curriculum vitae
- Three-page summary of previous projects (preferably with pictures)
- Four pages with test texts (optional)
- Letter of recommendation (optional)
