CALL FOR PUBLIC ART - RUSSIA

The Committee of City Planning and Architecture is honored to invite all artists to take part in open architectural contest for the draft project of the monument to composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in St Petersburg.

The contest is an art event which aim is to select the best draft project of the monument.
The contest is open, with the participation of specialists (architects, sculptors, designers, artists) – individual masters or workshops, creative teams from Russia and foreign countries.
The contest is held in two stages.
The first stage is a creation of draft proposal. The Exhibition of draft proposals and results summing are held between the 16th and the 23th of December, 2019.
The second stage is a creation of draft project. Results summing are planned to be announced by the 14th of April, 2020.
The prize fund of the contest is 5,000,000.00 rubles.

As part of the source materials, the participants are presented by the Committee of City Planning and Architecture:

• layout plan of the object of improvement with the display on a topographic plan on a scale of 1: 500;
• photographic materials of the object of improvement – territories, land plots in four foreshortened points with reference to the cardinal points (general view, enlarged fragment);
• a diagram of the territory within the project boundaries indicating the restrictions of the regimes in accordance with the Law of St. Petersburg dated January 19, 2009 No. 820-7 «On the boundaries of the united zones of protection of cultural heritage objects located on the territory of St. Petersburg, land use regimes and requirements for urban planning regulations within the boundaries of these zones.»

The source materials are provided to the participants after submitting an application for participation in the contest in electronic form to the email address of the executive secretary.

HOW TO APPLY:

The creation of draft proposals and draft projects is carried out in the composition and content defined by the Regulations file (to require to the email addresses below) based on the source materials provided by the organizer.
Draft proposals and draft projects are handed over to the executive secretary at the Committee for City Planning and Architecture at the following address: Russia, St. Petersburg, Lomonosova sq. 2.
