European SCULPTURE Path 2022 – Visions for Europe

Become a contemporary witness and create a sculpture for the European Sculpture path!

We at Art moves Europe e.V. set out to launch the European Sculpture Trail in January. In times of Corona, this takes on a whole new meaning, because at the moment we are all experiencing an incredible slowdown and inevitably worrying about the world after Corona. The question arises whether we can still drive through Europe as carefree after the crisis as we would have done before? Perhaps the sculptures of the European Sculpture Trail on the theme of "Visions for Europe and the World" will convey other messages in the sign of Corona?

People learn that things that were considered impossible a month ago are suddenly possible. We learn that climate protection is possible, that there is solidarity, that autocrats all fail and go into hiding, or that we disgrace ourselves, that our scolded politicians are suddenly able to put party politics in the background and act together.

There are questions how, we want to continue after the crisis!

What experiences do we want to take with us in our life after Corona! Let's just continue where we were stopped or do we take the opportunity to reposition ourselves in at least some areas and e.g. to equip the systemically relevant professions as such. Or will we run after what we've lost with even more speed and ruthlessness?
We invite you to make a contribution to the European Sculpture Path by designing a sculpture or a work of art on a three-dimensional object at least 2021 mm high on the topic of "Visions for Europe and the World".

Art moves Europe e. V. will offer or give support to:

Run the website www.art-moves-europe.eu and a YouTube channel to document the development and create publicity which can be used by the artists
Find sponsoring, help organizing material and working place, support networking of interested artists
Run a virtual fusing event in May 2022
Scan the finalized sculpture and print a 3D model on a scale of 1:20
Initiate a traveling exhibition after May 2022 showing a map of Europe with the 3D models of the sculptures
A 10000 km tour along the sculptures of the European SCULPTURE Path accompanied by a camera team, documented on a blog and ideally presented in a documentation sponsored by TV or a similar sponsor who can help to make the idea public
Find sponsoring from European funds, which would be used to first finance the needed infrastructure and, in case of additional money, refund cost for material and placing for those who could not manage to find local sponsors.
A base funding to finance critical steps of the project has already been granted
