Open Call for artists with child

galerie asterisk * offers artists a solo-exhibition in the year of birth of their child.

In retrospect all births are archived as an exhibition.

Artists are invited to submit a work, stating the year of birth of their child, and will be exhibited in the online gallery.

As the main objective of the intervention, all artists are encouraged to include the exhibition in their CV ́s. The aim is to network through the CV ́s: visible and recognizable.I

n this way galerie asterisk * acts politically against exclusive practice in the cultural sector.Possible gaps in the artist's CV are filled and at the same time a statement is made. Discontinuities in the carreers of artists following childbirth are taken into account. The characteristic style of the female* artist curriculum vitae changes in an obvious and subversive manner. An empowerment.
