Wollombi Sculpture - Sculpture in the Vineyards
ALL ENTRIES
   Entry deadline: Saturday 19 June 2021 by midnight. This date is final and there will be no extensions provided. The on-line entry system will automatically prevent entry submission after the deadline.
   Artists submitting more than one sculpture must make a separate entry for each sculpture.
   Artists may submit up to three sculptures for selection, but no more than two sculptures will be selected.
   Multiples will be counted as one entry as long as they are essentially the same and they can be sold separately, including multiples that form an installation.
   All entries must be the original work of the submitting artist.
   Entries that have been previously exhibited at Sculpture in the Vineyards, Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival will not be considered for selection.
   This year we are working closely with Sculpture on the Farm, Dungog, which opens on Friday 1 October 2021. We request that the sculptures that artists enter into Sculpture in the Vineyards are different to those entered into Sculpture on the Farm. The two events will be marketed as the Hunter Arts Trail.
   All entries must be of completed sculptures; works in progress, concepts and drawings will not be considered.
   There are three entry categories: Indoor Sculpture, Outdoor Sculpture and Indoor or Outdoor Sculpture.
   Editions: Artist are asked to provide edition details.
   Artist name for catalogue: Artists are asked to provide the artist name they are known by and as they would like it to be written in the Festival catalogue should the sculpture entered be selected for exhibition.
   Artist statement: Artists are asked to provide anartist statement for each sculpture, which will be used in the catalogue as it is written on the on-line entry form.
   Artist biography: Artists are asked to providesome background information about themselves and their work, which may be used by our Festival volunteers and tour guides and shared with interested members of the public.
   Sculptures must not pose a risk to the general public. All works will be assessed for safety after installation. Notwithstanding, we encourage all artists (or the gallery representing them, if applicable) to have Public Liability Insurance for their sculptures. NAVA can help with this.
   All works that require electrical power must be single phase 240 volt, maximum 2 Amp current draw. The artist must have the wiring approved by a licensed electrician
OUTDOOR SCULPTURE ENTRIES
   Outdoor sculptures must be able to withstand harsh weather conditions including sun, extremely strong winds and rain, and possible wildlife intrusion.
   Outdoor sculptures that require a concrete footing will not be considered.
INDOOR SCULPTURE ENTRIES
   Indoor sculptures selected will be exhibited in the Old Fireshed Gallery in Wollombi, the Wollombi Community Hall, the Old Dance Hall in Wollombi and the Laguna Hall. Larger indoor works can be accommodated.
   It is the artist’s responsibility to provide a suitable, freshly painted plinth if one is required for the sculpture if selected. Please ensure the artist’s name is on the bottom of the plinth.
INDOOR OR OUTDOOR SCULPTURE ENTRIES
A sculpture entered in the Indoor or Outdoor Sculpture category must meet the criteria above for both an indoor sculpture and an outdoor work. If selected the sculpture may be exhibited indoors or outdoors at the Curator’s discretion.
