SOUTH AMERICAN SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – BRAZIL

The Simpósio Sul-Americano De Esculturas Parque Malwee is an event for Brazilian and South American Sculptors, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of MALWEE Park, with the realization of sculptures that will remain in the place of the event. The event will be held from 18th to 29th september 2018.
The event will be attended by 7 sculptors, promoted by Instituto Jorge Schröder-IJS, AIESM (International Association of Monumental Sculpture Events) and ISSA (International Sculpture Symposium Alliance) during a 12-day work period, using the material CORTECCIA de Camboriú, sharing knowledge and practice of accomplishment with the others involved in the meeting.
The activities will be designed to allow the public to see the process of artwork being created, and to establish a dialogue with artists.

The organization will provide selected sculptors with food and lodging and a contribution in money.
The organization will also provide artists with the availability of logistic structure, electric power, compressed air and all the support for execution of the works in places protected from bad weather in the work environment.
The symposium will be open to the public from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm during the days of the event, and the artworks from the event will be exhibited at MALWEE PARK as a permanent collective exhibition.
Sculptors must bring their own personal equipment and be insured with personal insurance. Recurring norm in Meetings, Symposiums and Workshops.
This Symposium will be awarded 7 sculptors who are participants or not of artists' or independent associations, enabling this exchange of information and work for improvement and diffusion of the idea, are considered factors such as curriculum Vitae and professionalism as well as artistic trajectory.

Size of the block of marble: 1.50 x 0.60 x 0.60 cm (55 cubic centimeters and can undergo changes, according to individual design).
Value of the aid of cost: R $ 7,500.00.

•  Synthetic curriculum;
•  Artist data ID, Passport, CPF and personal photo;
•  Photos of 5 sculptures already made, with date and place;
•  Project to be executed, if possible photos of 4 different angles of the model;
