ENGRAVING COMPETITION

Located in the old horticultural greenhouses of Tessy-Bocage, the Usine Utopik is a place of artist residencies that support visual arts and contemporary writing. In addition to its usual programming (6 visual artists in residence, 4 exhibitions, 2 authors in residence and various cultural activities) the “Relais Culturel Régional du Centre Manche” offers exceptional programming to celebrate its 10 years of existence.
The organization of cultural events (exhibitions, thematic evenings, public readings, etc ...), the availability of works of Artotek and the many actions pedagogical (guided tours, public-artist meetings, creative workshops, etc.) are all initiatives dedicated to promoting encounters, local exchanges and bring a broad audience closer to creation. It is in this context that we are launching this first edition of the engraving contest.

Modality:
The Engraving Contest is open to everyone, no age limit
No technique or imposed theme
Size of 21x21cm to be respected
Registration fee: 10 €
Up to 2 engravings maximum per person
All engravings will be exhibited at the Usine Utopik from September 6 to October 6, 2019.

A jury of professionals and the public will gather to elect three winners.
1st prize: Cultural Weekend in Spain
2nd prize: Selection of engraving equipment provided by our partner the Giant of Fine Arts
3rd prize "public prize": Selection of books provided by our partner Planet'R, Saint-Lô bookstore
