L'International de la sculpture is designated as being the organization managing the event called International Symposium of sculpture of Saint-Georges. I twill take place from May 22ndto JUNE 12th, 2022 in Sant-Georges, Canada.

Presentation of a sculpture project before September 2nd, 2021The duration of the symposium is 21 days, installation is included in the time limit.
Each artist agrees to realize his/her work on site, within the time limit. The artist must master his/her technique and agrees to interact and exchange with visitors while carrying out the activity. The work must be stable and safe.

N.B. 10 eligible applications will be retained. The selection committee will choose the participants based on the quality of the project and of its relation with the edition’s theme. An incomplete file will not be considered.
The artist agrees to:
Be present at the opening and closing ceremonies.
Participate to the activities organized by Beauce Art through out the symposium.
Make an effort to collaborate with the other sculptors and symposium organizers of the symposium as to promote a friendly atmosphere through out the symposium.
Be present while the work is carried out through the duration of the symposium. If manufacturing constraints require a visit to the workshop or if parts of the work need to be prepared before the opening of the symposium, and after discussing the case, a written authorization may be given by Beauce Art.
Interact and exchange with the visitors of « Quartier des artistes » and during all activities through out the symposium.
Provide your own tools and give a detailed list to Beauce Art's technical managers. If Power Adapters Converters are necessary, the artist guarantees to provide them and does not hold accountable BeauceArt if a tool fails to function due to Power Adapters Converters.
Provide maintenance specifications for the artwork.
Complete the artwork within deadlines granted and ensure the installation in its final location before theend of the symposium.
Participate to different promotional activities of the events through out the symposium by being available for interviews with the media.
Provide, no later than 2 months before the beginning of the symposium, a health and accident insurance certificate for the duration of the event. This certificate should cover minimum fees required in case of accident or sickness, including transportation and hospitalization fees. Beauce Art reserves the right to accept or refuse this certificate.
Own a passport, and a visa if necessary, that are valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry in Canada.
Provide Beauce Art a copy of the passport and visa, at least 3 months before the beginning ofthe event.
Attend a benefit dinner organized by Beauce Art.
BEAUCE ART agrees to:
Grant a sum of 5.000,00 $CAD excluding applicable taxes, at the end of the symposium. Payment is made by check. If a payment is to be made with a bank draft or other funds transfer mode, transaction costs will be acquitted by the artist and will be deducted from the sum granted. At the artist’s request, and subject to Beauce Art approval, a deposit of 2.000,00 $CAD can granted at the beginning of the symposium.
Provide materials (stones, metal, or composite) needed for the realization of the artwork according to estimates elaborated by the artist and by Beauce Art.
While respecting the spirit of the work, BeauceArt reserves the right to provide different materials than those proposed by the artist, and this, based on technical advice received, availability and cost of materials, sponsorship received and signed partnership agreement.
Provide a suitable work site at « Quartier des artistes » and ensure access from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for the duration of the symposium to the artist. If extra working hours are necessary, permission must be granted by Beauce Art.
Provide access to utilities (common room, bathrooms, water, electricity, compressed air) necessary forthe realization of the artwork and daily activities on the work site.
Provide accommodation and meals to the artist for the length of stay. Special request concerning dietary restrictions or exceptional accommodation must be made in writing and is subject to the acceptance by Beauce Art.
Ensure local transportation of the artist during the symposium especially from the accommodation site to the « Quartier des artistes » and for official activities that the artist must attend. Assume the artist transportation costs based on the most economical means (compensation for mileage,bus, gasoline refund, taxi) from the artist’s residence to Saint-Georges. Beauce Art reserves the right to determine the mode of transportation for which it will refund the cost. Provide technical assistance to the artist for handling and installation of the artwork to its final location.
Upon transfer of ownership of the completed artwork to Ville de Saint-Georges, provide technical specifications for the periodic maintenance as to assure the conservation of the artwork over the years.
Hold a civil liability insurance of 5.000.000,00 $ CAD and make an insurance certificate available to the artist requesting it.
