SCULPTURE BY THE SEA FESTIVAL – AUSTRALIA

The Sculpture By the Sea association is now inviting artists to submit applications for the 19th annual Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe to be staged along the spectacular Cottesloe beach in Perth, Australia from 3 to 20 march 2023.
Key information

• An estimated 220,000 visitors across 3 weeks
• Strong sculpture sales
• Over 70 sculptures by Australian and international artists

• Open to senior, mid-career and emerging sculptors alike
• Applications open until August 15, 2022 for online applications.

Awards and Subsidies

• The Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe Artists Award of $30,000 with thanks to Minderoo Foundation;
• The Mostyn Family Foundation Artist Subsidy of $5,000 for an International Artist;
• EY People’s Choice Prize of $5,000;
• Kids’ Choice Prize of $2,000;
• Assistance for all artists for reasonable use of install and deinstall Site Crew and heavy equipment.
• Australian Artists Only: An Artist Cost Contribution of up to $4,500 to Australian Artists who exhibit in both Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe and ‘Sculpture Inside’ Cottesloe 2023, and who do not otherwise earn a minimum of $6,500 from the exhibition, with thanks to the Australian Federal Government’s RISE Fund for the Arts;

• Photo / digital copy of your Concession Card (if applicable)
• Photo /  digital copy of Completed Site Map (at the online application page)

• Current Resume (in word document or .pdf format. No more than 2 pages and 10mb per applicant. Group submissions to be complied into single document)
• At least 1 and up to 3 digital images in JPG format (photos, drawings, mockups etc.) of the work, or proposed work that you are submitting (must be combined into a single zip file of no more than 10mb)
• Up to 6 digital images of previous works in JPG format (must be combined into a single zip file of no more than 10mb)
• All information about the artwork you are submitting including dimensions, and weight etc.
• Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex) on hand
