City Hilpoltstein - Art in Public Space

City of Hilpoltstein launches art competition for art in public space in Hilpoltstein!

The city of Hilpoltstein is organising an art competition for art in public spaces in Hilpoltstein as part of the urban development programme of the government of Central Franconia.

The city of Hilpoltstein wants to promote art in public spaces in Hilpoltstein and its districts. The city council has therefore decided to have a first sculptural work of art built in public space. Art in public space enables citizens and guests of the city to come into direct contact with art in everyday life. The prize-winning work of art will be an impetus for the people in the city to engage with art. It is considered an initial work of art for art in public space in Hilpoltstein and is therefore of fundamental importance.

Hilpoltstein, "the castle town on Lake Rothsee", wants to position itself as a modern cultural location with Swiss art accents in the half-timbered town. The artists are invited to become part of the cityscape with their artwork and to help shape Hilpoltstein in the 21st century.
