12th Symposium for Sculptors at Zoo & SchlossHoyerswerda

Symposia for sculptors were carried out at   Zoo Hoyerswerda since 1975. Mr. Juergenvon  Woyski,  sulptor  and  painter,  was the  initiator  of these  symposia,  which  tookplace every  other  year  until 1989.  Right  from  the  beginning  it  was an internationalevent carried out with artists from Czechoslovakia, Poland and the Soviet Union.In 2014, after a 25-year long break, another international sculptors symposium took place in Hoyerswerda. Zoo, Kultur und Bildung Hoyerswerda and the company be2pro resumed the historic tradition of this kind of art. The initiators want to keep this tradition alive in certain intervals. In 2019, Hoyerswerda’s zoo celebrates its 60th anniversary and Jürgen Woyski, initiator of the first symposium, would have turned 90 this year. These are two special occasions to organise another international sculptors symposium.

This is what we expect from you:

• Performance of your artistic work at  Zoo& Schloss Hoyerswerda from June, 20. – 02.07. 2019
• We want you to present and explain  your way of working to visitors and guidedtours while working on your piece of art
• We want you  to  take  an  active part in  the opening of  the  symposium on 20.06.2019 and the closing vernissage on 02.07.2019
• The assignment of all rights for the pictures and videos made within the context of the symposium to the organizer
• The pieces of art produced during the symposium will come into possession of the organizer
