The festival for city, culture and art invites to encounter in and around Babelsberg Park.
Localize captures spaces for engaging with the city, it looks for artistic confrontations, raises fundamental questions of urban community, challenges pertinent positions and encounters urban visions and utopias of social coexistence in times of virality.

LOCALIZE calls on artists, cultural workers, designers, future thinkers and urban critics for the development of formats to enable encounters in and around public spaces. The artistic works approach the festival's theme, the public space and the city of Potsdam in a COVID-compatible, experimental, cross-genre and site-specific way. From sound, visual, conversation, play, movement, object to action – every media and aesthetic format is encouraged.

Since 2008 LOCALIZE opens up urban spaces for contemporary art in Potsdam. With a changing thematic focus, the festival seeks to explore urban space in transition, interspaces for design and the potentials of participation. LOCALIZE e.V. is a non-profit association. LOCALIZE Encounters is developed and realized by a team of students, cultural workers and creatives.
